2026 annual performance report

Performance & Outcomes

Strong outcomes. An inclusive school. Ambition for every child.

Our results are one part of the story of King's Cross Academy. This report shows our statutory outcomes over three years, explains what they mean and lets families explore how different groups of pupils achieve.

Our Academy at a Glance

Understand our community.

School context as of September 2026. These figures help families understand the community behind our performance and outcomes.

*About the term “disadvantaged”: “Disadvantaged” is a Department for Education reporting category used in national data and funding. It is not a label KCA uses to define our children and does not describe a child’s potential or ability.

Context figures are correct as of September 2026 and will be updated annually.

Our three-year direction

Three years. A stronger picture.

Across these key outcomes, the direction of travel is clear: seven are higher than in 2024, while LAMDA has sustained a 100% pass rate throughout. The detailed sections below still show every statutory measure, including areas where improvement remains a priority.

01 · What this means for families

Look beyond a single percentage.

Prospective families should be able to understand not only what children achieve at KCA, but the kind of school behind those outcomes: ambitious, inclusive and committed to continual improvement.

Our approach

We do not believe inclusion and high expectations are competing ideas. Our job is to know our pupils well, make excellent teaching accessible and help every child achieve as strongly as possible from their individual starting point.

How we read performance

Context informs the story. It never replaces the data.

Each cohort is different. We look at three-year trends, national comparisons, pupil groups and cohort size so that a single percentage is never asked to tell the whole story.

06 · Explore our community

See the pupils behind the average.

A school-level figure can hide important differences. Choose a cohort below to explore its 2026 KS2 profile, sample size and three-year combined trend.

07 · Wider Outcomes

Achievement beyond statutory tests.

Academic outcomes matter, but they are not the whole story. We also want pupils to leave KCA as confident communicators with practical skills for life. These measures show two wider outcomes we track over time.

08 · Understanding the data

Read the figures with confidence.

Statutory assessment language can be technical. These short explanations help families understand what the measures do — and do not — tell us.

Expected standard

The level pupils are expected to reach by the end of the relevant statutory assessment point.

Higher standard / greater depth

A higher level of attainment. At KS2, reading and mathematics use scaled test scores; writing uses teacher assessment.

Cohort size matters

When a group contains only a few pupils, one child's outcome can move the percentage substantially. We always show the number of pupils alongside filtered results.

Provisional data

2026 figures may change following validation and final publication. The report will be refreshed when complete data is available in November.

About 2026
